Rick was cited in a recent Wall St. Journal letter to the editor as a “human resources expert” by Mr. Dave Kladney, commissioner on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights regarding Rick’s testimony before the Commission concerning the EEOC’s new Guidance on the use of criminal background checks when making hiring decisions.
The letter first appeared on March 12, 2013 on the online edition of the Wall St. Journal.
Rick’s position is that with adequate training and understanding, employers can take reasonable steps to meet the established standards.
