The EEOC has taken the position that many practices currently used by employers are in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as applied to Hispanics and Blacks…The U.S Civil Rights Commission has taken up this matter and will issue a position statement shortly.

This is a critical issue for our clients–and others–who presently use criminal background checks to defeat claims of negligent hiring.
