A treat, no trick on hourly workers….The Florida minimum wage will spike from the current $7.31 per hour to $7.67 per hour on January 1, 2012. This due to Florida voters who decided to put more money in the pockets of hourly workers after years of federal mimimum wage stagnation. The U.S. minimum wage currently stands at $7.25 per hour.
As Orlando, Florida, strategic Human Resources consultants and business advisors, we thought sharing this information now would help with the budgeting process for 2012.
