I’m here at the National SHRM Conference in Atlanta visiting with some of our outstanding  HR friends and professionals whom we’ve met throughout the years.

This conference is a “must do” at some point in every HR professional’s career. The scale of the exhibit hall alone is a major attraction unto itself….Seems as nearly all the national vendors from payroll companies to niche recruiting firms have a presence of some sort and it’s easy to identify the new wave of HR business solutions being offered. 

As for the educational sessions–and there is a large menu–“social media” is common theme….How to understand the potential of social media for all sorts of  HR applications from talent identifcation to employment branding to employee retention strategies is very much at the forefront of these sessions.
